Garden Party Season Begins April 6th

Krissy helping with the weeding

Spring is right around the corner, and as is our tradition, April begins the season of Garden Parties at the Hermitage. This is a wonderful chance to offer generosity by tending the yard and the forest while connecting with members of the Hermitage community. In April, we’ll be doing a range of post-winter cleanup tasks, no special skills needed.

Here are the dates for the season (all Saturdays), so mark your calendar for:

  • April 6
  • June 1
  • July 6
  • August 3 (cancelled)
  • September 7
  • October 5

(No May garden party due to the Birken retreat.)

You can always join for any part or all of the day’s schedule, and no signup is required. If you can’t make these events and would like to help at another time, please contact Ajahn Sudanto for details.

The Schedule

Meal Offering: 11:00 AM. Feel free to bring a dish for the potluck style meal offering (please arrive by 10:30 if you’re bringing food).

Garden Work: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Please also feel free to bring any extra garden tools for the day, and dress in your ‘garden clothes.’

Tea: 3:00 pm – 4:00 PM.

Garden Parties are a wonderful opportunity to connect with the Sangha, and chat with other members of the Pacific Hermitage community.

Happy Spring!

Save the Date: Pah Bah Weekend is September 14th & 15th
